Three stars to the chairs themselves, which are a good value for bonded leather chairs (which I don't expect to last a long time, 'cuz bonded leather just doesn't last). They look great and are comfortable enough for occasional dining.I deduct two stars because the screw holes used to fasten together the 2 pieces of the chair don't align, requiring me to use a Dremel tool and electric drill to elongate the holes in the back piece until I could pass the screws through them. For folks without such tools and a do-it-yourself orientation, it might not always be possible to assemble these chairs if the hole alignment is off. (Safavieh, if you are listening, you can easily fix this problem by elongating the 4 holes in the back piece that the attachment screws pass through!)I deduct another star for the horrible packaging material used: it's cheap, thin styrofoam sheets and blocks that have no structural integrity, and were thus reduced to a mess of styrofoam chunks and powder when the chairs reached me. Nothing was damaged (it's kind of hard to damage these chairs), but the styrofoam was broken into myriad small fragments which, due to static electricity and air currents, wound up on the floor and all over my person when the chair pieces were taken out of the box.Loose styrofoam is a disaster for our environment since EPS (expanded polystyrene), if not properly recycled, persists for up to 500 years in the environment (I'm not exaggerating - look it up). It took a couple of hours to clean up the bloody mess from the styrofoam, which had permeated every nook and cranny of the chairs as well as the shipping box and the room I unpacked the chairs in.This company should really put some extra effort and thought into eco-friendly packaging, as it's not that difficult and the incremental cost would be negligible. Safavieh, have you ever seen that crushable, honeycomb cardboard packing material that is being used more and more? It would be perfect for protecting your chairs during transit. Please, get with the program and ditch the EPS.Important: These are NOT 100% leather -- leather is an ingredient in what is essentially a synthetic material. However, if you don't care (and I don't for what I wanted them for) then these are perfect. They look amazing (btw, they are sold at Neiman Marcus for much more money) and are comfortable enough for my purposes. Assembly was very easy, although the packaging was shoddy and left a mess on my floor. I originally purchased 4 chairs, but ended up only needing two -- which is a good thing because one of them was damaged and the other was defective (holes didn't line up to screw them together). But the return was easy and I'm happy with my purchase.Pros1) They are beautiful, sleek, modern chairs.2) They're so easy to put together!3) The color red was true to the color pictured! ?4) Easy to clean!5) At 335 pounds, I needed a sturdy chair to hold the weight (until I can lose the rest unneeded). I've had them a week so far and I feel safe sitting in them.Cons..1) Funky smell when first arrived like a hint of lighter fluid? Didn't notice after a few days2) The corners of the chair that's close to where the bend of your knees are? That area is almost sharp. It doesn't scratch, but feel that could've been constructed a bit different. Rounded off maybe; not shaped to a 90 degree angle.Overall though, I'm happy with my purchase!!Great chairs for the price. They look nice and are great if you have kids and need to be able to wipe down your chairs! Have had them for about 6 months and they are holding up pretty well. Not the most comfy, but comfy enough. There is padding in the seat. I was concerned about comfort for larger houseguests, but have not had complaints and all our guests seemed fine in them so far. For the price, these are good chairs and I would recommend.Update: After 1 year, the plastic/rubber on the edges where the chair is sealed together have been peeling off. I uploaded another picture to show this. They started getting loose in spots and then my kids started picking at them. You can only tell if you look very closely. I still don't regret the purchase because these chairs were cheap and are fuss-free and easy to clean. And they still look pretty nice!These chairs are amazing! They have a clean, modern look that will work well with so many different styles. The price is unbelievable. And the best part... they are so comfortable.Light gray color is little darker than picture.Comfort is good but when you are not sitting it’s little wobbly.Overall good.I just got these in teal and they look great! Slightly padded so they’re comfy, and the color is beautiful. The chairs come in 2 pieces and the hardware was taped to the packaging (the instructions say it’s under the seat though). They were easy to assemble, and I found that I just had to push down hard to align the holes, but it was not difficult at all. It appears that the company read prior negative reviews and are probably sending out a better quality chair. I’ll update this if they start falling apart or if the additional I order come damaged in any way.When I first opened these chairs and put them together 6 months ago, I was aghast. They were wobbly! How could they hold up anyone? An hour later I realized that they came with SCREWS which I was supposed to put in the SCREW HOLES. This helped. Since chairs don't come in one piece, there is a small gap between seat and back, where little bits of food get stuck and need wiped out- this is the only reason I gave these chairs 4 stars instead of 3. But, I knew that before I ordered- you have to get chairs that are just one piece to avoid this, and most are much more expensive. Other than that, I get compliments on these all the time. They are sleek, beautiful color, lightweight, and are holding up well.I ordered this item last week and it arrived today. We had ordered one set, with the intention of ordering 2 more boxes if we were happy with the look of the chair. I am very happy with quality and comfort. However, within 2 weeks, the price of the chair set went from $229 for the set, to $393. I understand the fluctuation of prices, however that is almost double the price. Very disappointed.
